Red Light Therapy
Support Your Body’s Natural Recovery Processes
Red light therapy uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light that interact with your cells, supporting processes involved in cellular energy production, circulation, healthy inflammatory responses, and tissue recovery.
This process, called photobiomodulation, has been studied for a range of applications, including muscle and joint discomfort, exercise recovery, tissue healing, and skin health.
At Power of Touch Wellness, red light can be used in different ways: as focused support for a particular area or goal, or as part of a longer relaxation experience.

Focused Red Light Therapy
Focused sessions use red and near-infrared light at an appropriate intensity and treatment time for specific areas of concern, such as a sore back, aching knees or shoulders, stiff or uncomfortable joints, or post-workout recovery.
The PlatinumLED BioMax Pro Ultra provides broad coverage for larger areas of the body, while the smaller BioMax Nano allows more focused treatment. The two can also be used together when appropriate.
Shorter Sessions by Design
With red light therapy, more isn’t necessarily better. The goal is an appropriate dose, not simply as much light or as much time as possible. Wavelength, intensity, treatment time, distance, and treatment area all affect the amount of light your tissues receive.
The devices we use deliver high-intensity red and near-infrared light efficiently. That means treatment times can be relatively short, even when covering larger areas of the body.
Red light therapy is one more way to support the processes your body already uses to recover and repair.
Like movement, sleep, hydration and hands-on therapy, its effects tend to build over time. Consistency matters more than any single session.
What Red Light Therapy May Support
Everyday soreness and stiffness
Joint comfort and mobility
Skin health
Jaw, neck, and head tension
Exercise and activity recovery
Tissue recovery and repair
Red light therapy isn't a miracle treatment, and it isn't intended to replace appropriate medical care. Its effects tend to build with consistent use rather than from a single session.
